The MatchPoint Intranet for Luzerner Kantonalbank AG, designed and implemented by MatchPoint Partner Namics, wins the prestigious NN/g Intranet Design Annual.
Luzerner Kantonalbank AG (LUKB) aimed to provide its employees with a new information platform for efficient and optimized daily work. Relevant product and service information should be made findable directly and fast. Active knowledge management and information transparency were the basic concepts during development of the new platform.
Only one click away: Mega Flyout navigation
Namics managed to fulfill the wish for fast information gathering using the sophisticated MatchPoint Metadata management. This allows for easy content aggregation and faceted search. The developed mega flyout navigation presents all relevant products and navigation entries in one view. The flexible and individualized start page for different user groups supports the personal workflows of the employees. A special printing center was implemented for client advisors. There, they can collect, personalize and print all publications. This way they are able to create client specific files with very few clicks.
Namics implemented this innovative and high quality solution with SharePoint 2010 and MatchPoint. Thus, the dynamic quality and actuality could be provided already during the development cycle of the project.
«Using MatchPoint we were able to react flexibly on new requirements and spontaneous ideas during implementation and could implement these without big efforts» explains Samuel Peyer, Senior project manager at Namics.
«The new intranet reached a high acceptance with our employees from the start. They profit from the easyness and clarity of the solution and they value the dynamic platform with its extensive features. The award highlights the excellent and goal-oriented partnership with Namics.», says Pius Peter, project manager at Luzerner Kantonalbank AG.
«The Luzerner Kantonalbank AG (LUKB) intranet harnesses and exploits the power of metadata and taxonomy to ensure that the right kind of content automatically makes it to the right places. Marrying this with a calm, consistent design throughout makes this intranet an unusually supportive tool», said usability expert Jakob Nielsen, principal of Nielsen Norman Group.
